Second Half of Summer Adventure to California

Here they finally are....the rest of the pages from our California adventure this summer. My parents took us to an Angels baseball game, which happened to be a first for all us (I may have been to one when I was a child spending summers out here, but I am sure the stadium was not like this). Uncle Joe and Aunt Stacey and Baby Riley joined us, and the babies wore pink Angel attire, so cute!!! As you can see from the pics, the fun lasted for hours, and everyone had a blast! The stadium was gorgeous and a perfect California summer evening. We also went to the beach, but it was a little chilly, especially for Lauryn. Of course we filled the end of our trip with lots more family time, a BBQ at Joe and Stacey's, and just enjoying being on vacation. Thank you again to my parents for hosting the Jaffie Crew for their first vacation as a family of 5!!!

One more page...

This was left out when I posted the pages. Logan spent lots of time perfecting his daredevil stunts off the side of the fountain. He LOVES to swim (I think secretly he must have been a fish in a past life, J.K.).

Our 2nd California Adventure of the Summer!

For our vacation this summer, we opted to go simple and low-key for many reasons...number one reason was because of Lauryn's age and ALL the stuff you must pack for a baby! We spent 4 wonderful days at my parents house in California and soaked up all the pooltime we could get! The boys just thought it was THE BEST to swim all day long, from morning to night. Since we currently don't have a pool at our house, this was such a treat and new concept for them. As you can clearly see, they truly had the time of their little lives! Even Lauryn swam and got some sweet Papa time in. We got to meet our newest cousin, Baby Riley. What a Doll!!! And we took in an Angels baseball game along with some beach time. These pages are only half of the trip, so keep an eye out for the second half coming soon. We had loads of fun with our California family, we love you and thanks so much for all the smiles, giggles and firsts that we experienced!

Fourth of July Weekend, 2011

I was lucky enough to be off for most of the Fourth of July weekend, and boy did we celebrate with many friends and family!!! My Uncle Mark and his family were on leave for the summer from Hungary, so we got to swim and catch up with them. We spent another water-filled day at the Finders, some of our most favorite peeps in the whole wide world! And we finished off with Eddie's family, swimming at the Krueger's. With all this celebration time, we STILL have yet to take the kids to see fireworks on the 4th. In the summer, it doesn't get dark until after 8pm here in Arizona, and our kiddos are just now able to stay out past 10pm without having meltdowns or falling asleep etc. Maybe next year we can see some good old fashion fireworks lying on blanket in a park after a yummy picnic! But it WAS lots of fun to be with so many this year, THANKS everyone!!!

Lauryn, Our 6 month Cutie Pie!!!

As I post these pages, I am just shocked at how fast the time has flown by. These are a few shots of our cutie at 6 months, but she just turned 10 months old! Here she is barely sitting up, laying on her tummy doing 180's, beginning to eat baby food, and in real time, she is crawling everywhere, getting bigger and wanting real food. She clapps her hands on command now or when she is just happy about something and she loves to be in the middle of whatever her brothers are doing/playing. She is already quite busy! I used to think that little girls just sat and played quietly and boys were the ones running around crazy...not so much anymore. She lets us all know she is HERE!

More Father's Day Fun...

We continued our Father's Day celebrations with a trip to the movies to see the new Cars 2. Nanny and Papa joined us for this afternoon extravaganza of popcorn, icees, candy and lots of CARS! The boys were so excited to see this movie, even Ethan had a new shirt to wear. Lauryn managed to get through most of the movie, but I think all the car chasing exhausted her and she napped through the 2nd half. Eddie especially enjoyed sharing this day with his kiddos, Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day Celebrations, 2011

My parents were out from California for Father's Day weekend, so we celebrated all the dads with a get together at The Moreno's house. As you can see from the pics, everyone had so much fun. The kiddos LOVE anytime they get to be with their cousins, and swimming is one of their favorites. Ethan especially had a great time with my dad swimming. He spent time working with Ethan without his floaties in the water. You could see the confidence build in Ethan's swimming just in that short amount of time. I know he will be swimming on his own by the end of this summer, way to go Ethan!!! What a special treat for all us to spend time with my Dad, in light of the past events this year has brought. His health is better than ever, and we look forward to many more years and celebrations with him. Happy Father's Day Dad, we love you!!!

A Look Back at Memorial Day...

As the Fall is approaching, we have pumpkins, festivals, halloween, and especially cooler weather on the brain. But as my usual timing is, I am behind on seasons. Still scrapping our summer adventures. Here is a look back at a BBQ our neighbors/friends hosted for Memorial Day. They do such a phenomenal job of organizing many activities for all our little ones...I think we have at least 20 kids with about 6 families. We have a big pot luck, eat, swim, (drink a little), and have lots of fun. This year there was a water balloon toss tournament, tye-dye shirts, swimming, crafts, and even sparklers! Thanks again Drewrys for all the laughs and memories!!!

VBS

Back in June, we had a very fun week of Vacation Bible School at our church, The Grove. We all had a really great time, especially Ethan. This year was the first time he got to attend so I think he felt very special and "Big" that he got to go and participate in something Logan did. I even volunteered to be a Crew Leader this year, which was truly a neat experience. Lauryn melted the hearts of several people in the nursery, and truly without their help and love, I could not have participated. Logan's Crew leader was a friend of mine from bible study and her son, which was super fun for him. We are STILL singing the songs from that week everytime we are in the car. What many long-lasting memories we made!
