Revisiting Superbowl

Although most of you are OVER the superbowl this year, we have special memories from the day that I wanted to share. We really had so much getting in the spirit of the game this year. While we usually don't have a fav football team, we chose to root for The Packers this year. My grandpa Bert was a HUGE Greenbay Packers fan so we were honoring him that day (no one in our family are Steelers fans!), plus the team colors are one of my favorites! We spent the whole day at Sandy and Dave's house, ate, watched the game, played, and even did some friendly betting. Logan is really getting into football these days and he was so excited for this game! As we were getting ready for the day, I even found him putting on lotion after his shower and combing his eyebrows ( not typical behavior for an 8 year old). When asked what he was doing, he said "Mom, I getting ready for the biggest game of the year!" Of course I should have known that right? Eddie even made one of his fun cakes for the festivities. Overall, Super fun for a Super Bowl!!!

Best Buddies

These are some of my favorite boys in the whole wide world, Mr. Ethan and his pal Mr. Dylan. These two are like "peas in a pod" when they get together. It is so cute to watch them play and chat with each other. We get to see Dylan every week at bible study and Ethan looks forward to it every time. And as we drive away each week, I hear Ethan say "Bye Dylan, I love you Dylan". Super sweet!

Random Events

Here are some quick pages back from the end of January I made. The first page shows a trip to our favorite ice cream shop, Cold Stone Creamery. The whole family celebrated Ethan's potty training success of staying dry all night long...it's the little things that we make a big deal about right? The next two pages are from a MOMS Club event at a train park in Gilbert, AZ. Ethan LOVES trains (check out his shirt) so he was all about the train ride! Eddie was able to join us in the adventure, which I was very thankful in the end. I really hadn't ventured out that far by myself to a function with Lauryn and Ethan together yet, and I had forgotten how much juggling it takes with babies. Lauryn enjoyed being outside and even enjoyed her first train ride!

Pine Wood Derby Race

Logan attended his very first Pine Wood Derby Race with cub scouts back in January. With the help of Papa Baker and Eddie, he cut, sanded, painted and decorated his first car. He had so much fun at the races watching all the cars go down the ramps. He didn't place this year, but he already has a plan to build the greatest car ever for next year. He received a trophy for "Doing His Best", and that's what really counts!

Lauryn, 2 months

As I scrappbook these two pages, I am astounded at how different Lauryn looks in just a short time (she is currently just about 4 months old) and these pictures were taken two months ago. She just gets cuter and more fun each day as she grows and learns all about the world around her. I know she is not my first child and I have been through these stages before, but it always amazes me to watch them as they figure things out like finding their hands, their ears, their hair, and then grasping at toys etc. My favorite thing right now of course is her smile that just lights up the room. She wholeheartedly smiles right up into her eyes, and that recognition of "oh there is my mommy" just makes my heart melt.
Lauryn has many fun things to wear that have been gifts from some very special people. The giraffe onsies and bow were from some of my co-workers, and Lauryn and I were playing dress up on the changing table. I am still getting used to the "bow thing" so there will be more to come as she gets bigger and more hair! The polka dot dress she is wearing is a gift from a co-worker that bought it for her in Oregon on vacation. She was very excited to give it to her and not only did Lauryn wear it to her very first luncheon but it was her very 1st dress she has worn! We took lots of pics (of course) and she is going to wear this dress for Easter as well. My favorite thing to put on were the bloomers, remember that boys don't wear bloomers, and I look forward to the next time she wears some...maybe they will have ruffles! Oh the fun of having a girl! Thank you again Liz, for the very sweet polka dot dress, Kathleen, the wild onsie and Tiffany, the giraffe bow (and many others too).
